I really think it’s some of Kutt’s best material thus far. I did all of the production on this one so we could try and capture a specific sound.

This beat came about while working on the full length album we’ve been putting together over the last year. It was the product of experimenting with a bunch of different sounds I’ve never used before… I didn’t really have a clear idea of what I wanted to create… I just kept adding random chops and glitches I had compiled over time until it sounded complete. I wanted the 808s to create the melody, so I compressed them like crazy and distorted them so they would pop way out in the mix. The knocking sound is actually me knocking on the wall.
Tech played it for me the night after he tracked vocals… and the whole idea was completely unorthodox… just like the beat. Exactly how I imagined it.

I did this remix to Mayday’s single “Badlands” a few weeks ago. I really wanted to do something different on it. Plex KILLED the production on the original so I knew it had to be crazy, but I didn’t want to use any elements from the original. So I just went completely different with it. I don’t get a chance to do many remixes, so it was dope to work on this. Plus I got to finally do something with Mayday! Download it below:
